More about this piece:

The most prized attribute of a god is an acute sense of hearing, when we tell of our desires and regrets.

This piece was inspired by September 11, when so many prayers were being prayed to opposing gods. Prayers at cross-purposes, canceled each other out. So many prayers were in the air, that none was intelligible. I imagined a din of voices seeking the ears of the gods who thrive in the human heart and imagination.

For this show, the "ears" were pinned directly to the wall, rather than being displayed in a shadow box.
